Just before Kali Puja, idol hubs of the city takes on a character of its own. Amidst narrow lanes, riverside ghats and workshops filled with unfinished idols, the neighbourhood becomes a fascinating canvas of black, red and white—the colours of Kali Puja reflected through clay, paint and everyday life.

Join us for a photography-led cultural walk through the Kumartuli idol hub and the nearby ghats, exploring the space, textures, people and of course, the stories that come alive in the days leading up to the festival.
