Fraser town heritage walk.
Run by AllEvents
We’re back after three years—thanks to BBMP for ripping apart the roads and pavements. Now, we’re finally returning to the leafy lanes of Fraser Town. Far removed from the bustle of the old Pete, Fraser Town, Coles Park and Cleveland Town reveal the people and communities that helped shape modern Bengaluru. We wander past century-old homes and institutions, uncovering remarkable heritage buildings, forgotten stories and the philanthropic legacies of those who lived here. We also explore the remarkable contribution of Bengaluru’s Anglo-Indian community—to its food, education, institutions and distinctive urban culture. Along the way, we visit a historic church, a legendary bakery, a heritage school and a traditional mutt, each offering a glimpse into the Cantonment’s multicultural past. We’ll also explore its distinctive food traditions and the communities that have kept them alive. There is far more history tucked into these graceful streets than one walk can contain. Consider this Chapter One—we’re already planning the sequel. We conclude with a specially curated traditional Dakhni Muslim breakfast, offering a rare taste of the Cantonment’s culinary heritage. Come walk the leafy lanes of Fraser Town with us. Places are limited—book your spot and rediscover a Bengaluru where architecture, community, history and food come together.
