Begum & her Hookah (A heritage walk in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi)

Join us as we excavate the little known stories of the women who through the changing and often challenging times have continued to enrich the city’s historical and cultural landscape.

We will meander through streets around the Chandni Chowk area, sharing stories of Begums, shadows Empresses, Nautch girls, Milk mothers, Havelis and Harems.

In this walk we cover the by-lanes of Shahjahanabad looking for stories of the bygone era, making the women who shaped the city and its history our focus.
