About
Most people who visit Juhu Beach see the crowds, the chaat stalls, and the sunset. Very few know what lies just beneath the surface when the tide pulls back. During low tide, Juhu's intertidal zone reveals a hidden world that has been thriving quietly all along, sea anemones anchored to rocks, sponges in unexpected colours, hermit crabs dragging their borrowed homes across the shore, starfish clinging to boulders, and on a lucky day, even an octopus tucked into a crevice.
This is Mumbai's shoreline as most Mumbaikars have never seen it. With over 10 years of experience conducting marine walks, Naturalist Explorers brings a depth of knowledge and a genuine love for the intertidal zone that makes every walk a truly immersive experience.
Our trained naturalists guide you through this seasonal window, teaching you to read the shore, identify what you are looking at, and understand the extraordinary web of life that exists in the narrow band between land and sea.
This is not just a beach walk. It is a two hour journey into one of the most dynamic and underappreciated ecosystems in the city. Designed for nature lovers, families, and curious explorers of all ages, the Marine Walk at Juhu is the kind of experience that changes the way you look at every beach you visit for the rest of your life.

During this marine walk, we will navigate through murky patches and slippery rocks along Juhu Beach as we explore the impact of human activities on the area’s biodiversity.
We kindly request that you enroll only if you are comfortable walking through such terrain. Please note that all sightings are dependent on tidal conditions and the natural environment.
We do not guarantee the sighting of any particular species.
